The figure above shows the reduction of Staphylococcus aureus on the sample for 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 60 minutes exposure time.
Conclusion: According to the standard test method APHA 9020B (2017), 99% of bacteria should be killed in the exposed plate. Based on the experimental test Staphylococcus aureus has successfully achieved >60% bacterial reduction under sample exposure using a bacterial suspension test at 1-minute exposure time. It shall be noted that the LED lighting samples are coated for 1.5 years and retested for efficacy.
